Next to my work 'Motacilla alba'. My little girl has to touch daddy's sculpture.

We have visited Cáceres once more this year to enjoy its Birds Festival. This region is becoming an important place of my personal migration.  

Next to 'Aarón, Ixobrychus minutus'. The difficulties of its creative process are the proof that  ther´s a solution for everytning but death... you will be always on my mind, my little one... your essence is in Extremadura now.

I also spent some time working on some sketches of the lesser kestrels on Sunday morning;  perhaps for a new sculpture. 

Some samples of the results... It was a bit hard as I haven't been able to go out for drawing for two years.

I realized that I think  more often as an sculptor . I´m more and more interested in volume.

It has been coloured  later.

I could enjoy the exhuberant birdlife of the city...

And in the end my special little bird went to pick me up.

Next Friday, June 16th, at 8.00 p.m.  the exhibition 'ROTARTE 2014, Punto de encuentro', will be opened in Rota -Cádiz-, at Sala Mercado Central Torre de la Merced. I'll be in very good company with my friends Ándres J. Naranjo and Lolita Paz Arribas and some colleagues s J.M. Estévez, Julio Malvido and Olga Ordóñez.

Last weekend we were in Cáceres to enjoy the 4th Edition of Cáceres Wildlife Art Exhibition ;here you have a sample of it.

In addition to the events of the Birds Festival, this year the historic centre of the city was full of activity, with tents and theatre shows.

Sorry for not updating my blog as often as I'd like to but my family, my job and the proyects I'm working on don't allow me to do it.
I take this opportunity to invite you to visit Cáceres in the next weeks. From the 16th to the 25th of May you can enjoy a new event of `Wildlife Art  Cáceres´ at the exhibition halls of the Historical Archive - The Toledo-Moctezumas Palace, coordinated by  D. Juan Varela Simó.
This exhibition is included in the `Birds Cáceres Festival' events.

This sculpture is the result of my second casting. It has been selected for the 74th International Contest of Visual Arts in Valdepeñas.. If you remember, last edition, I was also selected by my work Alba.
